A quick note: I am happy to announce that starting this week there will be new articles on the blog. For almost 4 years now I’ve been missing in action from the sound community and from posting here on the website. Why?
Well, it’s been an incredibly busy time working with new people and new companies while travelling across dozens of countries. I’m quite fortunate to have been involved with many once-in-a-lifetime field recording and editing projects. It’s been the most rewarding part of my career, however it’s left me little time to keep up with writing.
Recently I’ve finished some major projects and things have calmed down. So, starting this week, the blog will be featuring new articles about:
- What’s new with popular sound browsing metadata apps.
- Recent releases – and disappearances – of field recording gear favourites.
- Reviews and shoot-out comparisons of popular field recording equipment.
- An update on the state of sound effect library sales with tips you can use to ensure your creations can escape the downward spiral.
I hope you will tune in to the blog. You can be alerted to new posts by following me on Twitter, Facebook, subscribing to the blog RSS, or by joining the free email newsletter.
