Recently we listened to Mark Ferguson’s field recordings from the Slimbridge wildlife preserve. That project detailed Ferguson’s experience recording sound effects from the 800 hectare wetland.
Ferguson has returned with a new project: “Ashland.”
Recorded at the 80-acre wetland Drumnaph Nature Reserve in the UK, the web page shares audio “Stormscapes.” The evocative composition is paired with rich black and white photos and time-lapse videos.
Mark told me that the project aims to capture:
immersive stereo recordings exploring notions of space, place and landscape representation
Slide on some headphones and check out the audio at the base of page.
